With the Israeli economy resting heavily on their backs, Israeli farmers are struggling to avoid foreclosure as they face daily rocket attacks, a diminished workforce, destroyed fields, and intense financial pressure. Save a Farm, a project of Keren Hashviis, collects and and distributes funds directly to Israeli farmers facing dire financial straits.
Jewish-run farms act as a physical barrier between Israel and its threatening neighbors. With unpaid bills mounting, our farmers will be forced to give up their land, and every year more farmland is lost to Arab farmers who take over these leases. These bordering farms play a critical role in ensuring Israel's security. Without them, our home faces even greater risk.
These heroic farmers sacrificed their much-needed profit for an entire year to honor the Mitzvah of Shmitah. The Torah promises that observing Shmitah safeguards the land of Israel for all of us. After the extreme losses from COVID-19 followed by a year of Shmitah, this war has dealt them a third crippling blow. Stand with us to support these Shmitah warriors in their time of need.
Each season offers only a brief window of opportunity for farming. If farmers can’t access their fields or lack sufficient hands to harvest even for a couple of weeks, they risk losing the entire season. Israel is at risk of yet another crisis, but this one YOU can help prevent.
When the future of our borders, the economy, and countless livelihoods are at stake, can we count on your donation to help them hold onto their land?
